Czech Citizenship by Declaration

Got Czech ancestors? You may be eligible to apply for Czech citizenship by declaration pursuant to Section 31 if at least one of your parents or grandparents was a former Czechoslovak or Czech citizen and lost their citizenship before 2014. The key is proving how they lost it—whether through naturalization in another country, marriage to a foreigner, or having their citizenship revoked by the communist regime. You may also qualify for citizenship by declaration pursuant to Section 32 if your ancestor was a citizen of Czechoslovakia but never became Czech or Slovak when the country split in 1993. No Czech language proficiency is necessary!
Given the complex history of Czechoslovak and Czech nationality law, the process can be challenging—but that’s where we come in. We offer a complete, start-to-finish service, ensuring that the only time you’ll need to visit a Czech Embassy or Consulate is when you apply for your passport after approval. With our expertise, you can skip the queue.
